Special Events Committee goals of Sekhet-Maat Lodge for the common year 2008

Values

• The committee allows for many events each year to inspire the community.
• Allows for organization of larger projects such as Thelemic Symposium.
• Good organization and leadership allows for the work to be spread amongst all members.
• Central organization allows for each event to be performed according to our mission.
• Allows for diverse offerings of events such as rituals, workshops, author events and fellowship events.
• High rate of volunteerism to help out with various events.
• High rate of success from conception to manifestation of events with the ability for any lodge member to do events that they conceive of to support the mission of the lodge.

Vision Statement

To provide the infrastructure and support for events happening within the Lodge to accomplish our mission.

Goal

Bring awareness to each member of the lodge to assist and help out with one or two special events per year. Ideas: Suggest that initiators discuss this with candidates post initiation.

Current Status:

• 2/2/08 Emailed initiators to remind them for Q1 to discuss this with each candidate.
• Will be updating the list in the Intiator's Handbook regarding volunteer expectations so that initiators can remind candidates at their initiation. --Misskim 17:41, 1 April 2008 (EDT)

Goal

Organize events based on each degree doing an event. Ideas: Second degrees take on volunteering for a particular event or do an event on their own.

Current Status:

• 2/2/08 update: Continue to brainstorm, plan sit down time to discuss which events can be assigned.
• Suggested to Fr. Andropos Troy that one of the degree groups plan and execute the reception for AIT.--Misskim 13:43, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
• Reminded and discussed with Fr. Andropos Troy regarding this plan for AIT.--Misskim 17:41, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
• Will be talking with new minervals regarding the reception for AIT. Current plan is to have one of the Minervals head this event up, with the others helping out. --Misskim 14:58, 2 May 2008 (EDT)

Goal

Build listing of "House Rules" and post in prominent places during special events.

Current Status: Complete
